Speciality shopping or just browsing, Halton has something for everyone. From Halton Lea shopping centre, a large undercover "shopping city" to specialist guitar and arts shops, Runcorn and Widnes offers you the choice to shop to your hearts content. The extra bonus is all car parking is free, wherever you shop in Halton.

Both Runcorn and Widnes have their own Markets. Widnes Market has 185 indoor and 86 outdoor stalls within the market, with the outdoor stalls also being open for specialist days such as flea markets and boot sales. Runcorn now hosts an open air market day every Tuesday, with stalls on Church Street selling all manner of goods to compliment the shops that surround the area.

Widnes also has an undercover shopping area, The Greenoaks Centre, which is the town's premier shopping mall and was opened in Widnes town centre in 1990. Situated adjacent to the Market and Morrisons store, it provides an undercover shopping experience with major national chain-stores. This area sits alongside The Windmill shopping centre and the Albert Square shopping complex.

Widnes Shopping Park is the newest shopping area with a high quality atmosphere. It is home to M&S, BHS Home, Outfit, Next, Boots, Wilinnsons & Costa Coffee

Open 7 days a week Halton Lea encompasses 92 major retailers and a variety of everyday stores. All under cover, shoppers are able to get around in pleasant malls without concern for what the weather is doing outside. Halton Lea Shopping Centre has recently undergone a major refurbishment programme expansion work has continued in the form of a 12 acre retail park adjacent to the Centre, anchored centrally by a 9 screen cinema multiplex.
